Mother of the bride is such a very important role. As the mother of the bride to be, it is important that you dress perfectly. Beside the bride no outfit is scrutinized more than yours. There are many lovely, mother of the bride outfits to choose from and many glorious fabrics. Here is a list of some common fabrics you may find in popular mother of the bride outfits.

• Chiffon – a plain woven sheer fabric with a soft drape. Not just for bridal gowns, chiffon also appears in evening dresses, prom dresses, and scarves
• Taffeta – which used to be spelled taffety, is a crisp, smooth woven fabric made from a stiff lustrous silk or a silky fabric with a slight rib. The word’s meaning “twisted woven” is Persian in origin.
• Silk Shantung – a wrinkle resistant type of silk that comes from the Shantung Providence of China.
• Iridescent Silk – silk that has rainbow colors that appear to move and change as the angle at which they are seen changes.
• Organza – similar to cotton organdy (the sheerest cotton cloth made) except it is made with silk and is transparent.
• Charmeuse – a satin weave silk with a crepe back sometimes called crepe backed satin.
• Satin – a weave that typically has a glossy surface and a dull back. It is a warp-dominated weaving technique that forms a minimum number of interlacings in a fabric.
• Lace – a delicate fabric made by weaving cotton, silk, or a synthetic yarn in a pattern that leaves small holes between the threads

All of these fabric make beautiful mother of the bride outfits by themselves but you may find a dress that combines two or more of these fabrics; such as a Satin and Chiffon Gown with rusching at the center of the bustline fading into the halter straps or a Lace and Charmeuse two piece gown with a lace bolero jacket or even a Silk and Lace Halter style gown with scalloped lace at the neckline, rusching at the waist, and lace and net skirt with a train. Ladies High Heel Shoes That Make Legs Look Great

You have to have incredible naturally gorgeous legs to get noticed if you’re wearing flats, but even average legs can get a whistle or two when their attached to the right pair of ladies high heel shoes. I know, I know….you’re thinking I’m going to tell you to go get some sexy thin heeled stilettos. Yes, they get noticed and they do make legs look great, but it’s difficult to wear stilettos and not make it look like you’re trying just a bit too hard….instead…try the newest women’s wedge shoes and sandals that have sculpted heels which are high enough to stretch out those calf muscles and bring out the best you’ve got. Here are some good suggestions for wedge shoes and sandals that get noticed and are not your average espadrille with cork heels and ribbon ties.

Emporio Armani Wedge Sandal

First, there’s the Emporio Armani Wedge with a 4.5 inch sculpted heel. What do I mean when I say sculpted? Well, it’s not a straight triangular wedge, but shaped on the sides with a sort of concave so that from behind it looks like a thin pointy heel but in fact it’s a much more comfortable wedge. The next great thing about the Emporio Armanio collection of women’s wedge shoes is that they have slender straps that wrap around the ankle. This creates the illusion of a slender ankle, which makes the entire leg appear shapely. The other plus is that the front of the shoe has a strap across the toes to hold them in and another just above so stop slipping forward. One of the problems with some of the very sexy high heel ladies shoes and sandals is that they only work on ladies with teeny perfect feet and not on real women that actually walk a block or two.

Marc Jacobs High Heel Wedge Pump

The other shoe that’s totally different but also makes legs look great is the Marc Jacobs metallic peep toe design, also a wedge, but a bit more closed in a pump style with just a little toe peeing out. The great thing about the heel is that it’s also a high heel, but the twist is that it’s slender at the base while being a solid stacked wooden wedge. Oddly enough, the Marc Jacobs design is more expensive than the Emporio Armani one.

Minnetonka Women's 3451 Ankle Boot Sheepskin SlipperSlipper boots are most often seen paired with casual wear. Anything from shorts to peasant skirts work with this versatile footwear. I think the reason they are so good with casual clothing is that they are designed to be comfortable so they look the best when paired with clothing that makes us comfortable.

Even though slipper boots are usually lined with fur or fleece, they can be worn in all types of weather. You might think they are best worn in cold weather because they are designed to keep your feet warm, but people wear these shoes in all seasons. The natural fabrics used to make most slipper boots breathe especially well so they are not uncomfortable in warm weather.

Slipper boots can be worn by all different sizes people as well. Some styles of shoes suit women with small ankles like strappy high heeled shoes, but slipper boots can be worn by anyone. They can even be a great addition to large lady fashions because they can hide wide ankles.

Slipper boots can be worn by any age group. There are styles that are geared toward a younger generation, and those that are appropriate for more mature women. They even make small slipper boots for toddlers and children. If you buy slipper boots for your kids though, be prepared to replace them often because they may not be able to stand up to the hard times kids can put shoes through.
